Pakistan Women Lawyers Association (PAWLA)
Misinterpretation of Islam by obscurantism religious leaders results in laws that damage the status of women. Family Laws, Zinna Ordinance and Laws of Evidence are the case examples of defective laws. PAWLA, vehemently announces its war against such derogatory laws, and is fighting for women’s rights. To strengthen the cause of law reforms, PAWLA is actively involved in lobbying, advocacy and networking with the other NGOs. A number of conferences, seminars workshop are held to propagate law reforms.
