Shaheen Sardar Ali Dr. Ali is admired worldwide
for her work in gender equality and human rights. In 1992, she was
awarded Honorable mention in the UNESCO Prize for development of the
teaching of Human Rights. She is the author of several books on the
said topics. Her most recent work is "Gender and Human Rights
in Islam and International Law. Equal before Allah, Unequal before

of health and education reform. She is now the current leader of the
opposition in the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Benazir Bhutto was born in
Karachi in 1953.
