ASMITA
Established in 1988 as a non-profitable, non-political and non-governmental organization by a nucleus of young enthusiastic women journalists. DidiBahini
A non-profit organization that facilitates gender mainstreaming into the development process. Its mission is to promote a gender equitable society in Nepal. Its strategies include bringing NGOs/institutions together towards establishing a networking for mutual help/cooperation and facilitating networking and coordination between/amongst government organizations and non-governmental organizations for policy making and implementation.


E
ducate the Children
A small, grassroots non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1990, which conducts educational and community development projects in Nepal. These projects include: sponsorship of children in private schools in Kathmandu, of women's groups, of children in village schools and an integrated rural development program incorporating literacy, women's development, and sustainable agriculture in two rural districts northwest of Kathmandu.

Society for Health, Environment and Women's Development (SHEWD)
Since its founding in 1998, SHEWD has been dedicated to working for the interests of the poor in the community on issues of health, literacy, and women's empowerment. Volunteers organize and conduct interactive training programs on women's health, nutrition, tradition and roles, economic and material resources, government, education, women's rights, and advocacy.
