Perceptions of Women Politicians in Kazakhstan (1997)

This paper finds that women politicians in Kazakhstan are perceived more negatively than men. The woman politician in our experiment is perceived to be less competent than the man in virtually every policy area, foreign, economic and social.

The National Action Plan on improving the status of women in the Republic of Kazakhstan and improving of gender statistics. (2000)
On 19 July 19999 the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has adopted by a decree No.999 the National Action Plan on Improving the Status of Women in the Republic of Kazakhstan and forwarded it to the UN Commission on the Status of Women in order to achieve goals of improving the status of women in Kazakhstan and implementing the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on the Status of Women (Beijing, 1995). The National Action Plan is developed by the National Commission on Family and Women's Affairs under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in co-operation with the relevant state bodies, with participation of NGOs and international organisations in accordance with a recommended UN model. The women of Kazakstan: the source of cultural development (2000)
The women of Kazakstan are extremely valuable political, economic and what's of interest to us cultural resource. Their role in culture and art can be defined as the transference from generation to generation of the memory of the tribe, nation, mankind on the whole. In the system of education 75% are women while in the cultural sphere women consist of 62% of the work force. Managing job and family: How do Kazak female managers cope (1998)
As the employment statistics confirm, the labor force is still segregated by gender all over the world. Then, it is reasonably assumed that women face the whole range of problems obtaining access to male-dominated positions such as those in government, politics, business management, and especially those at their executive levels.
