Bhutan Women and Children Organization (BWCO)
It is a not for profit, non-partisan and politically unaligned grassroots non-governmental organization. It was established in 1990 in exile by Bhutanese refugee women to organize themselves for protection, promotion and defense of women's rights and child rights and for advancement and empowerment of women in  Bhutan.

National Women's Association of Bhutan
The National Women's Association of Bhutan is one of the only two non-governmental organization officially registered in Bhutan. The other one is the Royal Society for the Protection of Nature, an environmental protection agency. Both organizations, however, are heavily funded by the Bhutanese government.

Refugee Women and Children Welfare Society (RWCWS)
A Bhutanese Refugee Society working in exile. RWCWS works toward the protection of human rights and works for the realization of greater gender equality.
