The Managing Editor will plan, coordinate, commission and oversee the editing of information materials, including print, web, and multimedia products. This will include the development and management of an external network of contracting editors and proof-readers and the management, revision and control of the work outsourced to this network. In carrying out this work, the Managing Editor will: appraise manuscripts submitted for publication and make recommendations as to acceptance for publication; advise scientific and technical staff on editorial matters; develop editorial guidelines and directives for external editors, writers, and staff involved in the preparation of documentation; and participate in the development of publication policies.

HIV/AIDS Senior Program Advisor,

The incumbent will serve as the Senior Program Advisor on USAID’s HIV and AIDS Crisis Mitigation Team that is responsible for design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all activities under the Investing in People program area. His/her primary tasks include:
Advise team leader, and others as requested, in achieving USG policy and program goals, enhancing synergies among various mission teams, and developing and managing human resources.
Lead and manage team efforts, consistent with the overall guidance of the team leader, in the design and evaluation of program and project strategies, including establishing and maintaining a consultative processes with stakeholders;
Serve as the team training and human resources advisor, facilitating team building and consensus building activities, as requested by Team Leader;
As delegated, represent USAID and other USG senior offices in external fora and negotiations.
